fjdslkurdsfj IF I SEE ONE MORE NEWS ARTICLE ABOUT PEOPLE NOT KNOWING WHETHER TO VOTE WITH IDEOLOGY, RACE, GENDER, OR VALUES I SWEAR TO GOD I AM GOING TO FLIP A SHIT AND STRANGLE SOMEONE.

Seriously, VOTE WITH WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN. Party lines shouldn't matter. Gender shouldn't matter. Race shouldn't matter. Your values and whoever you seeing doing better by this country does. SO VOTE LIKE THAT PLZ.

djsflkdsu;ldksgksjds WHY IS PICCOLO NOT GREEN WTF. HE NEEDS TO BE GREEN. HE IS NOT PICCOLO UNLESS HE IS GREEN. Dude, I'm seriously rethinking the whole "LET'S GO SEE THE DBZ MOVIE FOR THE LULZ" simply because I really don't know how much worse they can make it. D:

...Unless they cast Keanu Reeves somewhere, BUT THAT MIGHT MAKE IT WORTH WHILE, LAWL.

......except now, my childhood love for that show is kicking in. Oh, man, the nostalgic memories~

Amen! I don't care about someone's race or gender. That has nothing to do with politics whatsoever and therefore isn't relevant to my choice on who to vote for.

Also:
UGH. I don't even know if the lulz will be worth it for that godawful movie! DBZ was my main fandom for a loonnnggg time back in the day and this movie looks like it's going to totally rape it hardcore.

Exactly! I am so sick and tired of the media demanding whether or not the American people are going to vote along gender lines, or race lines. Honestly, if I think the Republican candidate is best for the job, I'll vote for him (even though I'm registered as a Democrat). But if I think someone else is better? Then he's got my vote, even if he isn't a man.

But whatever, apparently giving a damn about which direction this country goes and who seems to have the best plan to get us there is worth jack by comparison to the vay-jay-jays and the blacks vying for office. D:

Sometimes I do seriously wonder what Americans think of themselves. Judging by the questions the media asks, we ain't none too smart. And then I wonder why so many other countries hate us. DD;

Also:
Word. I FEAR the imminent rape this movie is going to be. It was such an important part of my childhood, too. D: DBZ marked the last time my brother and I really bonded over anything, lawl, but more importantly it gave us Future Trunks, and I was in love with him. XDXD:;;

It also marks the beginning of one of my worst fears coming true: I've heard tell of a Cowboy Bebop Live Action movie, and an Evangelion one, and one for Ghost in the Shell, too, all of which are series I value. I'm terrified that the Cowboy Bebop movie is going to suck hardcore, which is very likely considering how awesome the series is. Ghost in the Shell will just be another version of the Matrix (and people who didn't see GitS first won't know that the Matrix was based on it, NOT the other way around) and Evangelion...well, jeez, half the metaphor of the series is going to have to go just to make it acceptable for American censorship.

Why can't Hollywood come up with original stuff anymore? I mean, seriously, I can't remember the last time I saw a movie not based on 1) a book, 2) a TV show, 3) a videogame, 4) a play/musical, 5) real life events (the more tragic, the better), and 5) a comic. And now they're digging into my anime/manga, which I liked because it was (in some cases, certainly not all) more interesting, dramatic, developed, and overall better than the stuff America produces sometimes.

Just wait, FMA will be a movie, too. D:

Yeah seriously. When I was overseas all anyone wanted to ask was "Are you voting for Obama or Hillary?" They either forgot or didn't care that McCain was in the race as well. With the way our media was making such a huge deal out of it I can't really blame them. (And quite frankly, I'm glad it's Obama and not her. With the way things are going in the Middle East we can't afford a woman president right now.)

:< I've heard rumors of the Bebop movie too. I've never seen more than one or two eps of the series, but I don't want to see them ruin it with a movie. ..Especially since the rumor I heard was "Keanu Reeves as Spike" and that's just not a good sign. M. Night Shyamalan is supposedly working on a live-action 'Avatar' movie too, which I'm really not sure about. It could be good, but his movies lately have all been flops. Plus if he does it like they're doing the DBZ movie, totally ignoring important things (like GREEN Piccolo), it's going to fail automatically.

I would love to see a woman obtain the title of President someday. But I agree, in a lot of ways I don't think the world is ready for one. America and a lot of its allies might be, but there are too many other countries - countries we have some hand in or need to work with or are trying to work with - that might refuse to have anything to with her (and therefore us) because of it. So I'm sorry, Hillary, but I don't think you're the best choice right this minute. D:

Cowboy Bebop remains one of my favorite anime series to date, and it is too well done as is to make more sense or work in any other format. So while I was already leery of it, the notion that Keanu Reeves might be cast as Spike is making me want to scream. Spike is way too complex of a character for the monosyllabic Keanu Reeves to pull off. (Not to mention my fears for the casting of the other characters, and what they do with them. I mean, Ed's a ten-year-old girl who named herself, dresses like a boy (and had half the cast convinced she was for some time) has Jell-o for limbs and talks in the third person. Who are they gonna find to pull that off, without completely changing her?)

Though, from what I can tell (read: Mike and Bryan interviewing M. Night Shyamalan on the Season 2 disc collection) the Avatar movie is going to mirror the series pretty closely. He kept mentioning that there was nothing he really wanted to change, nothing he wanted to leave out - even the little interactions and details. He's had to cut some stuff, of course (that would be a hella long movie otherwise, and it even sounds like it's gonna be a trilogy) so I'm less concerned about that one story-wise, but I have no idea how he's gonna carry it out. Because, really, his typical style will not suit this story.

And I like Avatar too much to watch it fall victim to the Live-Action Movie Insta!Fail trap that DBZ is in.

Although, now, I'm trying to figure out what I would like to see as a movie if I could somehow dodge that Insta!Fail trap. XD;;
